Precision since 1906

For us, success is all about getting the foundations right. That’s why we always work with precision – right from the start.

What all our users have in common is the need for equipment that guarantees reliable results – every time.

When you choose Monark, you are choosing expertise and control. Our ergometers are designed as testing and training tools for performance and health development. The unique, calibratable pendulum-scale system, which originated at GIH and Karolinska, forms the basis of our products. A guarantee of measurement accuracy and reliable results over time. Over the years, the system has been developed and improved to ensure it remains useful in today’s digital world, whilst always allowing for self-monitoring.

MONARK 894

Built on decades of trust, now redesigned for the next generation of anaerobic tests.

The 894 retains the features that have made it an international benchmark and improves on what matters most: stability, configurability, control and accuracy.

Our History

We have a long and rich history, in which both Monark and Kroon’s bicycle factory in Vansbro have played a major role. It all began in 1908/1910, and every year since then has brought us to where we are today. Read more about our history.

A symphony of precision

In an age characterised by speed and mass production, there are still those – the craftsmen who refuse to compromise. Here, we pay tribute to one such soul, for whom bicycle-building is not merely a craft but an art form.

“No compromises are made, no detail is overlooked. Riding one of this craftsman’s bicycles is no longer simply a means of transportation—it is entering into a dialogue with a master, where every pedal stroke is a verse in a well-orchestrated symphony of precision and balance.”
